The Democratic Party | Call 'Em Out

The Democratic Party Call 'Em Out

The nerve of the Republicain'ts! Lets examine it shall we!

Prior to eight years ago, this country was enjoying the fruits of it's labor with a rather large budget surplus , thanks to the first Democrat ever to be elected twice since Roosevelt, President Clinton. There was peace throughout the region, crime was down and most Americans were happy. Then the S____! hit the fan! , and the party I like to call the Republicain'ts took over. Lets examine their success! In the span of eight short years, this country was launched into two wars, astronomical tax cuts for the wealthiest top 1% of Americans and big Business, a housing crisis, nationwide robbing of the people on wall street, Huge bail -outs and continuous lies and half trues to the American people all while leaving almost a 2 trillion dollar deficit. What a bang-up job! Now because they were so efficient at running things; they want to handle this health care crisis. One brilliant idea of theirs is this cross state insurance plan! That's crazy!, for one thing ,every State has different rules and regulations governing there policies on this issue; not only that, would that not require government regulations akin to quote, unquote a government take-over of health care?! This is what they come up with! rather than a not for profit public option. America! where was all of this concern about spending prior too them taking a robust surplus and turning into the largest defect since the great depression? Some Americans seem to have gotten amnesia or something.! The Americans voted for a change in Washington, and the way things are done. By electing in my opinion the best Damn! President to date, President Obama. Lets stop kidding ourselves, they left the toilet without flushing! and now this administration not only has to flush the toilet but, disinfect it too! I'm just saying.

Same thing , Different day!

I was watching the House Minority leader on The News Hour today and , let me just say that I wasn't impressed. The Idea of harping on a trillion dollar deficit, again and again is ridiculous, especially since it took eight years of his party in office to reach this point. A little fact that apparently their party has forgotten about now. It is painfully obvious that it is their intention to shut down any progress on the subject of health care reform. All the redirect about government take over and what it will do to the health care, is just in my opinion a hold lot of who shot john! Ask yourself ,If they had the answers, why is the country still struggling to provide the very basic necessities of its poorest people? I'm all for free market and competition but, where is the evidence to support these claims that a public option will end health care as we know it? As the President mentioned" we have public and private Schools and Universities and they thrive very well. We should be able to do the same with health care. I for one want the same entitlements given to all of those in the House and Senate when it come to health care, as do all Americans. We voted this administration in office because we wanted change not more of the same OK! In my opinion the minority leader all but said that , he felt that NO republicai'nt will vote yea on health care no matter what. Instead he and is party want the President to scrap this plan and start over. I say! want in one hand, and crap in the other and see which one gets filled the fastest. Change is what Americans are calling for and President Obama want let us down. I'm just saying.!

If you don't stand for something, You'll fall for anything!

Today I attended a Health care summit, upon arrival there were a few protesters with there usual signs spouting typical republicain't propaganda, and trying to misdirect traffic, to no avail mind you. So I took my place out front to make sure all those who wanted to attend were directed to the right venue. As the summit began their was a speaker who's husband had a liver transplant, he has been healthy for 13+years now but, he lost his job. With that went his health care and his ability to continue the medications needed to keep him alive. She & her husband sold their car, & their home and was able to sustain themselves for a while with COBRA & Unemployment. Now everything is running out, because our Governor refused the stimulus money. This family is in dire straights. Her husband may loose his life because of not being able to afford health care & his medications. The republicain'ts want to scratch everything & start over. My question is America, How long must we wait for comprehensive health care reform & how many lives must be lost? The Obama plan will provide more security & stability to those who have insurance. It will provide insurance to those who don't, and lower the cost for our families, businesses & our government. This plan will end discrimination against people with pre-existing conditions. limit premiums ,prevent insurance from dropping coverage when you get sick, eliminate extra charging on preventative care, save medicare for seniors and much much more. But most of all it want add a single DIME to the deficit. So if you want to stand for real change in our health care system, join us in Organizing for America. Don't believe the hype. Their are no death panels no so-called rationing of health care. Good healthy competition is what is needed to stop the suffering of millions of uninsured & under insured American. I believe in this initiative. As I said if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.. Stand up and fight for real change in our health care system. I'm just saying.

The White House - Blog Post - Weekly Address: Losing Insurance Can Happen to Anybody

The White House - Blog Post - Weekly Address: Losing Insurance Can Happen to Anybody

Wake up America! Stop running on emotions!

Let me start by saying, I am a Veteran fifty yrs.old living on SSI trying to do my best to enhance my own finances. I am bombarded with invitations from AARP & other senior citizens programs which is fine except, I don't feel like a senior. OK. I am bothered by all the unbridled anger towards this health care initiative mainly fueled by for the most part seniors . With all the signs & slogans about government staying out of health care well hello! Medicare & Medicaid are government sponsored programs. If it were not for the so-called government sponsored programs those people wouldn't have anything like descent health care. besides most of them have lived their lives ,things were different way back when and lets face it, most people in my generation and yours are reluctant to change however; This really isn't about us, it's about the future of our health care system and how it will effect our children and our children's children. I know that people tend to let their emotions get the best of them, sometime we just need to take a step back! relax, relate and release. Get the facts about the entire proposal, which by the way has not been finalized in this process yet, it is still being tweaked. You can't move into a house that has not been built, so why condemn an entire proposal before it is finalized! Don't be a pond in this chess game of special interest, and other groups who's main focus is to halt this process by any means necessary. You have only herd bits & pieces of this initiative, I say wait for the final proposal, read it understand it and then voice opposition if their still is opposition. Talk to someone that has no or can't afford health care. talk to someone who has lost everything because of a love one getting ill. A wise man once said" A man can never reach new horizons unless he first looses sight of the shores"! Stop allowing yourselves to be angered into a mob's mentality by all of these naysayers, and understand that change and progress is a never ending evolution which cannot be stop. I"m just saying.

It's useless!

I don't know where to begin! Let me start by saying that everyone is entitle to there opinion, But never in my fifty years have I ever witness more vile and disrespect coming from the Republicain'ts than what was displayed last evening towards the President. It is obvious that for them, it was just another exercise in solidarity of ignorance& immature childish behavior, cause by a lack of good ideals to move this health initiative along. It was like watching children pouting. I apologise to the children of America! The President appeared 30ft. tall compared to them. It is a sad state of affairs that so-call grown adults who are suppose to set the examples for the next generation of young people, can not conduct themselves better. It was down right disrespectful, and didn't accomplish anything. I mean some top Leaders of that party were on their blackberry during the speech, what is that about! It shows that they have no intentions of trying to work with this cabinet to achieve real change, and that they are hell bent on keeping things exactly as they are despite what comes out of their mouths. To be honest ,the Majority really don't need them to get this legislation passed. They only need 51 votes. This attempt to derail anything good that comes from this administration,in my opinion will not only show how feeble, close minded & ineffective the republicai'nts are at this point, but will come back to bite them in the ASS! after health care reform is passed. I'm just saying!
